About Cambie

Bordered by False Creek to the north, 16th Avenue to the south, Burrard Street to the west, and Cambie Street to the east, Fairview lies just to the east of the iconic Kitsilano neighbourhood.

Featuring the high-end shopping district that is Granville Street, some very famous restaurants (including West and both Vij’s locations), Fairview is also desirable for its proximity to Granville IslandThe Canada Line, built for the Olympics in 2010, runs along Cambie Street and provides rapid transportation to downtown Vancouver, the airport, and connections to the other SkyTrain lines. Olympic Village, at the north end of Fairview and extending to Main Street, offers seaside activities and waterfront dining.

Vancouver General Hospital and many other health-related institutions are located in Fairview, making it a good choice for investors and residents working in health care and research.

There are fewer detached homes in Fairview than in Kits. The area is quite densely populated with condos and townhomes, most notably in Fairview Slopes—the streets leading up from False Creek to Broadway. Many of these homes have amazing water and mountain views even on lower floors because of the grade of the land.
